This machine is created to measure three critical elements of fabric and textiles, pilling, fuzzing, and matting, at defined conditions, in a lined cylindrical test chamber, the DC motor drives the horizontal shaft with cross rods (impellers), which rotates at up to 1200 cycles per minute. The test specimen is tumbled randomly, users assess visually the pilling, fuzzing, and matting after a defined period of tumbling.
